Flight to Aruba cancelled!

Received a text alert that Southwest has cancelled our flight to Aruba tomorrow. The site is showing no availability for Tuesday either. I'm trying to figure it out. Of course, I did not take trip insurance on the timeshare.

Oh no! I think I just read a post on TUG from someone who is currently stuck in Aruba. Hope they get those planes moving soon.

So sorry to hear this. My son overslept and missed a flight to Grand Cayman on Saturday. In helping him rebook, we insisted he fly Saturday someplace south to connect today.
He is lucky he got out. .

Emmy we had snow on Saturday. Then crazy winds all day yesterday with low temps. Flights were cancelled Saturday, Sunday and today. I guess with the rebooking of the Saturday and Sunday people, there is nothing left for us Monday travellers. I am going to keep checking. I asked them to reroute us through a different city, like Chicago, but was told they would only pay for the leg to Aruba and we would have to pay for they leg to the jumping- off city. This is a holiday week here and there aren't many flights out of MacArthur so fares anywhere are crazy high. I keep checking hoping that there will be a cancellation.

I wonder if Amtrak would be an option to Chicago?
